Benelux Championships 2026

American School of The Hague  - Decode

Last Saturday, we competed at the BeNeLux Championships at the American School of The Hague in the Ockels Division.

It was a challenging competition for our team. During the qualification matches, we experienced several technical problems with our robot. In more than five matches, the robot disconnected, which made it difficult to perform at our best. Despite these setbacks, we managed to win 4 out of our 8 qualification matches. With an average of 2.13 ranking points, we finished 9th out of 24 teams in our division. Considering the difficulties we faced, we are proud of this result.

During the alliance selection, we were invited by Team 18917 – thE Agent Group to join the 4th seeded alliance. We were grateful for this opportunity and gladly accepted. At the same time, we continued searching for the cause of the disconnection issues. Just two minutes before our first playoff match, we finally found and fixed the problem.

Our first playoff match was very close, but unfortunately we lost 130–139. This placed us in the lower bracket. There, we fought back strongly and won our next match 149–118. Sadly, after losing the following match 93–106, our playoff journey came to an end.

We would like to sincerely thank Team 18917 – thE Agent Group for inviting us to their alliance and for the great teamwork and exciting matches.

In addition to the matches, we also had our judging session at the start of the day. It went well and was followed by six pit visits from the judges, which were all positive experiences. We are proud to share that we received the 2nd Place Connect Award.

Overall, we finished 14th of the 48 in the order of advancement. Unfortunately, this means that our season has ended and that we did not qualify for a Premier Event.

A huge thank you to our alliance partner Moo Tech - 26122 for being such an amazing and reliable partner.

Scrimmmage Wings Agora Roermond - Decode

We had a great and educational day at the scrimmage. Our first match brought some minor mechanical issues, which were easy to fix, and in the second match we unfortunately experienced connection problems. After that, our remaining three qualification matches went smoothly. We were ranked 7th going into alliance selection, but the first-seeded team, 23417 – The Energizers, chose us as their alliance partner. Together, we won all our playoff matches and ultimately won the event. It was a fun day, and we learned a lot about our robot and its challenges. We are happy with the results and the valuable data we collected.

Benelux championships 2025 - Into the deep

At our regional competition, we came prepared with a 4-sample autonomous. However, when the first match began, we discovered that one of our odometry pods was broken. Despite this setback, we managed to win all 5 of our qualification matches, finishing as the 1st ranked team.

As the #1 seeded alliance captain, we made a tactical decision during alliance selection to split the sister teams 23014 – The Flying Dutchman (2nd seed) and 24090 – Trojan Robotics (3rd seed). We chose 23417 – The Energizers as our alliance partner, and together we entered the playoffs with great momentum.

Our playoff run was strong—we only lost one match, which placed us in the lower bracket, but we fought our way back all the way to the finals. Although we ultimately lost the final match, this still meant we were honored as Finalist Alliance Captains.

In addition to this, we were proud to also take home the 3rd Place Inspire Award. These achievements reflect the hard work and dedication of our team, and we are excited to carry this success forward to a Premier Event.
